It wouldn’t be the 4th of July without barbecues and great burgers. We all have our own favorite burger and our favorite way to cook and season as well. Here are a few recipes to spice up your favorite burger!

We like to start our burger with ground beef, which is a personal favorite. Ground beef can be turned into so many different dishes.

Want burgers?

Not a problem!

Want meatballs?

Not a problem!

Want tacos?

Not a problem!

The versatility of ground beef is just too good to pass up.

Here are a few different seasonings you can try on your burgers this weekend.

Before you begin your perfect seasoning mix for your burger, the amount of seasoning will depend on what you and your family enjoy. So, as you’re making the spice mix, take it slow the first time around to make sure you don’t put too much of a kick in your burger!

Southwest Inspired Seasoning Mix:

1/2 tbsp Chili powder
1/2 tbsp Cayenne powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
1/2 tbsp Cumin
1/2 tbsp Paprika
A lime for the juice to be drizzled on the finished product.
This mix certainly has a kick to it!

A Go-To Burger Seasoning Mix:

(These quantities go for 4 to 5 burgers depending on their size)
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 tsp Cumin
1 tbsp Basil flakes or Oregano
1 tbsp Onion powder
1 tbsp Garlic powder

For any good seasoning mix to work to its fullest potential, you need to make sure you have high quality ground beef. FSC Ranch Beef has Premium Ground Beef that you can purchase online at FSC Ranch Beef, and pickup at three different locations: Riverwood Golf Club, Hedingham Golf Club, or at FSC Ranch in Clayton.

Happy grilling and Happy July 4th!
