You may have seen Todd Benware around Eagle Ridge Golf Course, but did you know he has given over 10,000 golf lessons during his career? Here are some more facts about Todd you may not have known.
Q: Which FSC Golf Course do you work at, and how long have you worked there?
A: I started at Eagle Ridge in February of 2019.
Q: What do you do at Eagle Ridge?
A: I am the Head Golf Professional. This means I do everything in the club house and vicinity to ensure anyone is able to play a round of golf.
Q: How long have you been playing golf?
A: I grew up across the street from a 9-hole golf course in northern New York, and I started playing when I was 10 years old. Fun fact – my mom found me playing with my Tonka Trucks in the bunker on the ninth hole when I was five, so I must have been thinking of a career in golf course construction.
Q: Do you have any tips or tricks for new golf players?
A: Where do I begin? I’ve given over 10,000 lessons in my career as a PGA professional and have tips on everything. My favorite is, “in order to change what you’re doing, you have to change what you’re doing.”
Q: What do you like to do during your free time?
Absolutely nothing related to golf except maybe putt-putt with the kids. When I go on vacation I like to head to the beach with my family and do some fishing while there.
