Last week we introduced you to Lynsey B, one of our outstanding personal trainers! This week we sat down with Lynsey and asked her a few questions.

1)  How did you get started in the fitness industry?

I have always been into sports, having played them all throughout school. I have been a coach as well for basketball and baseball. I went on a weight loss journey of my own a few years ago and really just wanted to help people out. Fitness is my passion.

2)  What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of helping out members of my community – adults and children alike. Seeing my clients hit their goals and gain more confidence is the reason I do this.

3)  What has been one of the biggest accomplishments of your career?

One of my biggest accomplishments was training a married couple who were in their late 70’s. In the beginning, they fared some physical constraints, but after a few months, the gentleman’s stamina was like that of a younger man, and his wife had gained muscle in her arms like you wouldn’t believe.

4)  What has been one of the biggest challenges you have faced in your career?

One of my biggest challenges is when clients don’t see the results they were expecting as soon as they were expecting them. Often inches will be lost but the scale may not change, and the client just sees the number on the scale even though progress is being made.

5) What is one lesson you have learned that other fitness professionals can learn from?

I have learned this throughout my own weight loss journey and those of my clients; you have to be in the right mindset in order to begin and stay on track with your fitness. If you are not fully ready chances are you won’t stick with it long term, that goes for you and your clients!

6) What are your main motivations for teaching/training?

My main motivation for training is to just help people feel healthier. I always say, if I could do it, anyone can!
