Meet Dawn, she’s one of our talented aerobics instructors. She teaches Boot Camp at LionsGate multiple days a week. When we asked Dawn why she likes teaching Boot Camp here is what she had to say:

Teaching Boot Camp keeps me sane.

I am married with 3 kids, 2 of which are teenagers, and I teach middle school full time. So you can understand that working out is as much for my mental health as it is for my physical health.

I have always loved working out and playing team sports, and now that middle age has happened, team sports have ended.

Teaching Boot Camp is a great way to keep in shape and help others become healthier.

I absolutely love the people that come to class (ages 15-70) and helping them reach their goals.  Some are there to lose weight, get stronger, or just release stress.

I have been teaching Boot Camp for about 10 years, and I hope to continue teaching for a long time.

Don’t let the name Boot Camp scare you. Everyone is capable of doing it. Don’t wait to get in shape to come to class, instead let the class get you in shape. The exercises, number of repetitions, and time can all be modified for different exercise levels in every class. 

If you do the work to get to class then I will do my best to make you want to come back. 

You won’t regret trying it, even if it takes a few days to forget the soreness.  

Currently, if you are interested in taking one of Dawn’s classes come to LionsGate. Her classes are Monday and Thursday at 6:15 PM and 9:00 AM on Saturdays.
